Long time no talk! My mom tells me that people have been talking about me not sending emails as frequently. My apologies! But, I'm not getting any emails either soooo.... I love my mission. It's more than I could ever have hoped for. Nothing is better than being in the service of our God. I've seen miracles. God's hand. He is here, in each of our lives. I know it because I've seen it. We have seen it with so many of our friends. I'm going to mention 1 specific experience, one special boy. Santiago. He is amazing. He is Israel. There are some pictures of his Baptism that I attached to the email. He has a long story. To sum it up, his parents are not members and he is the pioneer of his family. He also turned 9 recently. We have taught his family for about 2 months now and they have not missed a single Sunday. His parents are amazing! They are so loving and want the best for their son. They want to be baptized as well and were excited to do it as a family. But fo...
We are both staying again!! On Friday, I got a text from my mission President saying that he wanted to call me. So I responded and we ended up talking Friday night. He told me that he had received a strong prompting that I needed to stay another transfer. It felt like he didn't know why, but he knew I needed to stay here another transfer. We had only one new person, but we spent a lot of time focusing on preparing for next week and the weeks to follow. We made some strong plans to try new things and are already starting to work towards that! I have been thinking very deep in my personal studies recently. For most of my mis...
This week was a rough week! For multiple reasons! This week, a tropical storm came through NC and VA and specifically messed with our area. We had previously been doing the absolute best that I have done my entire mission and this storm really messed with it. All of our friends have fallen off Baptismal Date. Church got cancelled and with that, our friends that were excited to come, couldn't come! We were out of our area (in Richmond) for an exchange and that went very well! We then had an exchange with Scotchtown and they came to our area. It was the same day everyone was running to the store for supplies and no one wanted to talk to us. We couldn't stay as long as we wanted-the bridge was going to shut down so we had to hurry across to get home. Anyways. We need prayers. Please pray for our progressing friends that they will receive the Baptismal Covenant. Some are close. Some it will be a journey. But all will make it. Please pray for them. As we work diligently, we know ...
