Zion

Long time no talk! My mom tells me that people have been talking about me not sending emails as frequently.  My apologies! But, I'm not getting any emails either soooo....

I love my mission. It's more than I could ever have hoped for. Nothing is better than being in the service of our God. I've seen miracles. God's hand. He is here, in each of our lives. I know it because I've seen it. We have seen it with so many of our friends. I'm going to mention 1 specific experience, one special boy. Santiago. He is amazing. He is Israel. There are some pictures of his Baptism that I attached to the email. He has a long story. To sum it up, his parents are not members and he is the pioneer of his family. He also turned 9 recently. We have taught his family for about 2 months now and they have not missed a single Sunday. His parents are amazing! They are so loving and want the best for their son. They want to be baptized as well and were excited to do it as a family. But for now, the parents cannot be baptized. They are choosing to wait because of some personal reasons they shared with us. But Santiago said to them that he still wanted to be baptized. His Baptism was so powerful and the spirit was so so strong. When he was confirmed, everyone had a witness of the Holy Ghost. The second counselor of the Bishopric leans over to me and says,"something very special just happened. That kid is going to be something very important." WOW.

I love you all and am out of time. But please-take the time to study more about Jesus Christ. Focus on him in your studies. No matter where you are at with your studies, just dedicate a little more time to him and your testimony will grow. I know it.

Love, Elder Owens
