Diligence
We have had a long week and I am enjoying it!
We are spending lots of time finding. After Angel's baptism, we had most of our friends slowly fall out of contact with us. It's been rough but we are working hard to find more people that are ready to receive us! We have finished going through a huge list of members in the stake that went on spanish-speaking missions and had very little success with it. We have done member referrals and will continue to work on that. But now we have a lotttt of time to knock doors. I have been loving it and can't wait for more. My favorite is everyone answers and is angry that we are there, but I always put on a huge smile and say we are in the area sharing messages about Jesus Christ and praying with people and ask if we can pray with them. Half the people say no and if they say no then I will say something like,"You don't have time to pray or receive more knowledge about our Savior Jesus Christ?" Every time they have accepted a prayer and/or a message after that and we have gotten quite a but of people to let us come back and see them. But those are all English speakers... which means we refer them to the English missionaries and get nothing to follow up with ourselves. We have yet to find an area that has a good amount of Hispanics but we are working hard to find them! Pray for us to find those that are ready to receive us. But also that those that are ready can find us as well!
Yesterday at church we were asked to join the deacons quorum because they didn't have enough men there. So we went and the topic was,"Why do we worship God?". I was looking through come follow me and found D&C 20:17-19 and I thought those scriptures fit that answer so well. I invite you all to give those scriptures a read and message me and tell me why it is important to you that we worship God.
Love you all so much!
