¡Dios Responde Nuestras Oraciones!

This has been one of my favorite weeks on my mission yet!!


We started off the week with an exchange with the Spanish Zone leaders and I was with Elder Spratt! Elder Spratt is so awesome and we had a blast on our exchange! We started off with going out and knocking doors with a list of inactive members that we received and while we knocked, we talked a lot about revelation and personal revelation. He talked about how it was one of his goals to better follow little promptings and through that bring more blessings to people's lives. So I told him that what I do is follow the good thoughts. When I have a thought like maybe we should knock on that door then to follow that. Because that is a good opportunity-you never know if that thought of knocking on a door can bring someone to Christ. I can't even explain all the many things I've learned from him! We are lucky to have another exchange actually tonight thru tomorrow night so I hope to learn a lot more from them tomorrow.


One specific blessing that I've seen this week was the day after our exchange. Elder Quinteros and I were knocking more doors of inactive members and were picking our last one before we were done for the night. I looked at a couple names and one stuck out so I said let's go there. We went there and this man answered and said that we were looking for his wife and to come back another time. So we got her number from him and the next day called and she invited us over for their family's Thanksgiving dinner that they were having Saturday. So we went Saturday and met her and her family and we got talking to her. She told us she is the only member and her husband is catholic as well as his 5 kids. She told us that she was able to get them all to church often a while ago and wants to do that again and wants to do family home evenings every Wednesday night with their family. We feel really good about this opportunity! 


I received personal revelation through this good thought along with so many others this week. For everyone that emailed me the last time I asked for you guys to email me about something thank you so much! I want to again invite everyone to email me right as you read this and let me know how you best receive revelation as well as how you think you could better receive revelation!

Supreme Lessons.

We had an amazing week!  We had an awesome lesson with Angel about commandments and different things like that and he was super into it. We also asked him how he was feeling about baptism and he said he was super excited. But he also said he was nervous for one thing....he's scared to get his hair wet. He gave us a little scare but it was pretty funny. We also had a lesson with Mario and Omar and they are so awesome! We talked about prayer and the spirit and they had so many questions-it was great! At the end Mario told us that his wife needs to hear all this (they care for someone and can't leave at the same time) and gave us her number to reach out and that has gone great as well. We also got to make papusas with them which were delicious!!! We had an exchange with our Zone Leaders this week and that went great. It was super fun to see them again! This last Saturday was 2 years since my friend Dallin passed away and that was hard to think of, but it is helpful to know the won...

Temple!!!!

We had 3 temple trips this week!!! We worked two shifts for the open house of the Virginia Richmond Temple. The first started on Wednesday evening and it was amazing. I just loved feeling the spirit there. We were able to take some older people in wheelchairs through, it was a blessing. They are amazing and have great testimonies. Thursday morning Elder Moye and I got to the temple early and we were able to go inside when no one else was there and take a tour. We then got to sit in the Celestial room alone in a silent temple! What a miracle it was. I am so grateful for that experience. Sorry this email is a quick one I don't have much time. Saturday morning we got a text from Brenda (Angel's aunt) saying that they could go to the temple! It was the only day they could go! Another temple miracle. Ummm EARTHQUAKE!!

The mtc is wonderful! I am so busy all the time and it's awesome to be busy but I'm so tired! It's been a wonderful p-day, so nice to relax. I have been so surprised with the love that all the workers have for the Missionaries.  A lot of them like to mess around but even with that they are still so happy!  I met these two natives and it was super cool to talk to them in Spanish but I realized I'm not doing as good as I thought lol. It was super cool to meet them though.  Elder Hugo Montoya from the 70 came and spoke to us yesterday. At the end of his wonderful lesson, he let us all know he will be speaking in the first session of conference I believe. After he told us that he shook everyone's hand and I was one of the lasts so I shook his hand, grabbed his shoulder and said,"I hope we can all make you proud".
